Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins!

I love fall so I was thrilled to find this pumpkin chocolate chip muffin recipe (plus, because of the chocolate, I knew Dave would eat it haha). Let me tell you, they are DELICIOUS! Easy to make and cheap ingredients - my favorite. Make them soon!!!

Enjoy!

On a side, I had to just tell Dave they were just chocolate chip at first, but once he tasted them and loved them, I told him the truth! :)

I love good deals!

I have been trying to get the house together since we got back from the honeymoon, but it's been a little slow-moving. Inspired by another blogger, I decided to concentrate on one room at a time until it was done instead of bouncing around from project to project. Last week, I finally completed and put together our bedding. The throw pillows took forever to find, as I refused to pay $30 a pillow. I finally found the pillows on sale at a Kirkland's in Austin (and some other great stuff, but we won't go there now). I got the duvet cover and shams (they reverse to a wide brown and white stripe) on Ebay (LOVE Ebay!) for a very reasonable price (even Dave didn't think it was ridiculous). We were given the two sheet sets (red and brown) and the comforter for the wedding, so we ended up not spending very much on the whole set. We love it! In fact, Dave said we can't sleep in it because it looks like a hotel bed. :)

Now I just need to hang the frame that goes over the bed (also a Kirkland's find)!

Just a Little Humor to Brighten Your Day!

Since others I have told enjoyed this story so much, I decided to post it. So if you are bored, hopefully this will give you a few chuckles.

A few weeks ago, I officially changed my name. Exciting, right? NOT, especially once you realize everything that has to be changed and all the papers you have to send in or sign. Anyway, last week I received my new debit cards from the bank. All I was supposed to have to do was go to an ATM and make sure the pins worked. I went to do this, and the ATM kept telling me that my pins were invalid. I know my pins, so I decided the ATM was psycho. Of course, it was after 4pm (lobby only opened until 4 pm) so I had to back up and pull through the drive-through teller line. I notice my friend, boy teller whose name I do not know, is there just like always. I proceed to tell him that the ATM is not working, and I need to be able to use my cards. He tells me that someone stuck their debit card up the receipt slot, and therefore the ATM is not working properly. I laugh and tell him what an idiot that person is. I then decide to fill out the paperwork so I can stop receiving paper statements. After putting all our information on the form, I send the form back to my favorite teller boy and tell him to have a nice day. As I am pulling away, I phone my dear husband to tell him how annoyed I am that the ATM isn't working. Dave then says this, "I know it's not working. I stuck my card up the receipt slot. I went in about 45 minutes ago and had to walk up to the teller's window to tell him about the problem (who does that??!!!???)." I could have died right then and there. Of course it was the same teller I had just spoken too and who probably thought I had lost my mind. After all, who calls their husband an idiot in public? Needless to say, I may only night deposit for the next few months until nice boy teller moves on to another job.

Hello Blogging World!

Hello everyone!

Now that everything has settled down from the wedding and honeymoon, we thought we would start a blog to keep our friends and family updated on our lives! First off, the wedding was AMAZING! It was perfect; guess all the planning paid off. Here's a few photos:

We had a wonderful honeymoon in London, even though Dave was not a fan of the food. :)

We did find Dr. Pepper!

We loved the London Eye!

Much to Dave's dismay, we did not get to meet the Queen.

Tower Bridge

We are now living in College Station and attempting (pretty pathetically) to get our house together. It's funny how awesome all the gifts are until you have to find a place to put them! Dave is working at the Brazos County Juvenile Detention Center, and I will be starting my job as a 2nd grade teacher at Hempstead ISD in August. It's so weird being grown-ups!

Adios for now, blogging world!
